Ex-Puddle Of Mudd Touring Members Launch New Tribute Band X-Mudds

A pair of former Puddle Of Mudd touring members have formed a new tribute act paying homage to their former band, officially launching under the name X-Mudds.

The project features guitarist/vocalist Matt Fuller and drummer Dave Moreno, both of whom previously served multiple stints in Puddle Of Mudd, including an extended run together between 2013 and 2023. The lineup is fronted by Gabe Maska, who also performs with Nirvana tribute act Come As Nirvana.

The group has been billed as featuring “the touring members” behind the original band’s live era, with promotional material stating:

“THE TOURING MEMBERS. THE MUSIC. THE REAL DEAL. The musicians who powered Puddle of Mudd for 10 years are back!!”

The formation of X-Mudds follows years of lineup changes within Puddle Of Mudd, which has seen significant turnover outside of frontman Wes Scantlin, who remains the only constant member across the band’s history.

The new tribute project will debut with a small run of live shows already announced.
