Teenage hardcore outfit XCOMM have debuted a music video for their dual-track release “Hot Pursuit / One And Nothing” today, February 27th. The clip was directed by Dean Karr (known for his work with Slayer and Deftones) and brings the band’s ferocious energy to the screen.
Produced by Ross Robinson (Korn, Slipknot) and released via Blowed Out Records—a label co-run with Ghostemane and Bill Armstrong—the songs showcase the youthful intensity of XCOMM, who feature Revel Ian, son of Scott Ian (Anthrax, Mr. Bungle), on drums.
Vocalist Michael Gatto explained the thematic differences between the tracks:
“‘Hot Pursuit’ is about everyday frustrations and channeling that energy to confront them. I remember writing this one at our second ever rehearsal. ‘One And Nothing’ reflects moments of clarity, realizing you have control over your surroundings and how things play out.”
