Following the heartbreaking news of Ozzy Osbourne’s passing earlier today, longtime friend and bandmate Zakk Wylde has issued a touching tribute.
The two heavy metal icons shared a bond that spanned decades, with Wylde first joining Ozzy’s band in 1988. Their partnership extended across numerous albums and countless tours, including what would become Osbourne’s final live performance earlier this month in Birmingham, UK—where Wylde had the honor of sharing the stage with him one last time.

Taking to social media this evening, Wylde wrote:
“THANK YOU FOR BLESSING THE WORLD w/YOUR KINDNESS & GREATNESS OZ – YOU BROUGHT LIGHT INTO SO MANY LIVES & MADE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE – YOU LIVED w/THE HEART OF A LION – I THANK THE GOOD LORD EVERY DAY FOR BLESSING MY LIFE w/YOU IN IT –
I LOVE YOU OZ
BEYOND FOREVER
ZAKK
XOXO”
Ozzy Osbourne passed away on July 22nd after a long battle with illness. He was 76.
