Zulu Deletes Warped Tour and Refused Tour Mentions from Social Media

Los Angeles-based hardcore band Zulu has had a turbulent week, with more challenges possibly ahead. Last week, abuse allegations were made against frontman Anaiah Rasheed Muhammad during the band’s Latin American tour.

Despite the controversy, the band performed at NDP Fest in São Paulo, Brazil, on March 8th as a four-piece, with guitarist Dez Yousef stepping in on vocals. The following day, Muhammad addressed the allegations, while the band’s Instagram account mysteriously unfollowed him. Shortly after, promoters canceled the remaining Latin American tour dates.

Adding to the uncertainty, the band has since deleted their Warped Tour announcement and mentions of their upcoming Refused tour dates from social media, leaving fans questioning the band’s future. Although Zulu is still listed on the Long Beach, CA lineup for Warped Tour and expected to join Refused on their North American farewell tour, those plans may be up in the air.

As of now, neither Zulu nor their label, Flatspot Records, has issued an official statement regarding the situation or the band’s future, leaving many to speculate if their time is coming to an end.
