’68 have officially completed recording their fifth studio album, with the noise rock duo now moving into the final stages of production.
Tracking for the yet-to-be-announced effort recently wrapped, though mixing and mastering are still in progress before additional details are revealed. The sessions were helmed by producer Matt Goldman, known for his work with The Chariot and Underoath, continuing a longstanding creative partnership tied closely to the band’s roots.
Fronted by former The Chariot vocalist Josh Scogin, ’68 have steadily built a reputation for their raw, chaotic blend of noise rock and punk energy since launching the project in 2013.
The band confirmed the milestone earlier today (March 9th) via social media, teasing that more information about the album will arrive soon.
“Our 5th album is finished (still getting mixed and mastered) …. Recorded by, the always wonderful, @themattgoldman …..It is a very special album. I’ll tell y’all more about it sometime after Wednesday. Cheers.”
Further details — including a title, release date, and potential first single — are expected to surface in the coming weeks.
