A KILLER’S CONFESSION Reunite With Former Mushroomhead Members For Special Bonus Set In Ohio

Fans at A Killer’s Confession’s show this past Saturday, November 29th, at Mercury Music Lounge in Lakewood, OH, were treated to something far more special than a standard headlining performance. Frontman Waylon Reavis assembled a rare onstage reunion of former Mushroomhead members—turning the night into a full-blown nostalgia event for longtime followers of the Cleveland alternative metal staples.

Joining Reavis for the bonus performance were former Mushroomhead guitarist Gravy, vocalist J Mann, percussionist L.D., bassist Murdernickel, and sampler Stitch, each stepping back into material from their respective eras in the band.

The throwback segment opened with the classic white curtain entrance, complete with handheld spotlight silhouettes, set to the interlude track ‘Thirteen’—a nod to the atmospheric intros Mushroomhead were known for throughout the early 2000s. When the curtain finally dropped, the group blasted straight into ‘Xeroxed’, kicking off a run of fan-favorite cuts that pulled from multiple albums and lineups.

Saturday’s event, which also served as a Toys For Tots charity drive, featured additional performances from Jason “J Mann” Popson’s (216), Brothers At Arms, and High Early, while Reavis’ son Phoenix kicked off the night with his band Archangel, rounding out an evening that celebrated both the Northeast Ohio heavy music community and the shared history of the musicians onstage.
