Watch ACID BATH Perform Live for the First Time in Almost 30 Years

Legendary Louisiana sludge metal act Acid Bath officially kicked off their long-awaited reunion tour tonight, April 25th, with a powerful hometown performance at The Fillmore in New Orleans, LA. This marks the band’s first live appearance in almost three decades, a momentous return for one of underground metal’s most revered cult acts.

While core members Dax Riggs, Sammy “Pierre” Duet, and Mike Sanchez have returned, the 2025 incarnation of Acid Bath features some fresh additions: Zack Simmons (Goatwhore) now holds down the drums, and Alex Bergeron (ex-Agents Of Oblivion) steps in on bass.

The setlist featured fan favorites and deep cuts alike, including the live debut of “Dead Girl”, and a heartfelt dedication of “Scream Of The Butterfly” to late bassist Audie Pitre:
