Slaughter To Prevail frontman Alex Terrible is set to have his unusual crossover between heavy metal and combat sports chronicled in a new documentary arriving later this month.
Titled ‘Blood 4 Blood: Sound Of War’, the film will explore the inaugural Blood4Blood event, which took place on May 6th at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Florida. The event was organized through a partnership between Terrible, Danny Wimmer Presents and Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC), bringing together live heavy music and bare-knuckle boxing under one roof.
The vocalist was involved in both sides of the spectacle, stepping into the ring himself while also performing. The musical lineup additionally featured Black Label Society, Crowbar and Malevolence.
Terrible’s first bare-knuckle outing didn’t exactly go according to plan, however. He ultimately suffered a defeat against Cameron “The Bull” Delano, later admitting that he had taken quite a beating during the contest.
Now, the event and the surrounding crossover between the metal and fighting communities will receive a feature-length documentary treatment. ‘Blood 4 Blood: Sound Of War’ is scheduled to premiere on Prime Video and Apple TV on November 11th.
A press release offered the following description of the film:
“Heavy music and bare-knuckle combat collide in the film festival award-winning documentary BLOOD 4 BLOOD: SOUND OF WAR, premiering November 11 on PRIME VIDEO and APPLE TV. The film follows ALEX THE TERRIBLE, deathcore vocalist of SLAUGHTER TO PREVAIL, as he steps out of the spotlight and into BKFC’s notorious squared circle for one of the most unexpected cultural crossovers in modern entertainment.”
The documentary will also feature appearances from SiriusXM personality Jose Mangin, Zakk Wylde, BKFC fighters “Brutal” Jake Bostwick and “Mohawk” Rodriguez, Jack Simmons of Slaughter To Prevail, and Savannah Lee Carter, host of The Bare Knuckle Breakdown on Roku.
According to the announcement, the film will examine the personalities, athletic risks and cultural crossover behind the event, documenting Terrible’s transition from performing onstage to competing inside the BKFC ring.
