All Shall Perish are officially moving forward with their long-awaited comeback album, and they’re asking fans to help make it happen.
Fresh off the release of “Be As Kings, Be As Gods,” their first new song in 15 years, the deathcore veterans have launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund their first new album since 2011. The band are seeking to raise $75,000 toward the project.
The campaign outlines the following allocation of the funds:
- Finish recording: $30,000 (40%)
- Videos: $18,000 (24%)
- Promotion: $8,250 (11%)
- Contingency: $7,000 (9%)
- Mastering: $5,000 (7%)
- Platform fees: $6,750 (9%)
- Total goal: $75,000 (100%)
The campaign arrives just one day after All Shall Perish unveiled “Be As Kings, Be As Gods,” their first new material since 2011. Zack Ohren, known for his work with Fallujah and Machine Head, produced the new track, which was released through Arson Theory, the music venture co-founded by vocalist Eddie Hermida.
In launching the campaign, the band reflected on the lengthy road back to releasing new music and acknowledged the fans who continued to call for their return.
“Back after all these years
Ready to produce a NEW ALBUM, WITH YOUR HELP!And… WE DID NOT COME EMPTY HANDED! WE HAVE A NEW SONG!!!!”
They continued:
“Fifteen years, FIFTEEN YEARS you have been waiting for new music. Every single day on the internets, you let us know that just disappearing was unacceptable, you never let us forget that you were there, waiting…..thanks for that btw…it kept us going through these seemingly endless years of lawsuits, fights, and setbacks.”
The group also emphasized that they are pursuing the album independently, describing their current situation as having “NO label, NO contracts, NO manager, NOTHING but YOU” while promising that they have plenty of stories to tell about the past 15 years and what comes next.
There’s also an incentive for fans to help the campaign reach its target: All Shall Perish have promised to release a second new song if the $75,000 goal is met.
For now, “Be As Kings, Be As Gods” marks the band’s first new song since 2011’s This Is Where It Ends, with the group currently celebrating the 20th anniversary of their sophomore album, The Price Of Existence, on a North American tour with Carnifex, Extermination Dismemberment and Mauled.
