The Neighbourhood vocalist Jesse Rutherford has been revealed of as the frontman of the newly unveiled melodic hardcore band, Valley Girl. Rutherford is known as the ex-boyfriend of pop megastar Billie Eilish and hasn’t necessarily been welcomed into the hardcore scene with open arms.
Last week, the band released a four-song demo with Taylor Young (Twitching Tongues, God’s Hate) being involved, and this past Saturday, January 27th, the band debuted live at Midnight Hour in San Fernando, CA revealing the members. 197 Media was in attendance and captured the footage below.
