A permanent memorial honoring the late Andy Williams is being planned for his hometown of North Tonawanda, New York, with a new statue and memorial bench set to be installed at Gratwick Park.
The project will give friends, family, fans and members of the communities Williams touched throughout his career a permanent place to remember him.
Supporters can also contribute to the memorial by purchasing a custom engraved brick, which will be incorporated into the project and can feature a personal message. More information is available through andywilliamsforever.com.
The announcement comes shortly after Williams’ family, friends and peers gathered in Buffalo, New York, on September 27 for a public celebration of his life.
The memorial event featured speeches, personal tributes and musical performances, with the gathering also being livestreamed for those unable to attend in person.
Williams died earlier this month after suffering a medical emergency during an independent wrestling event in Millvale, Pennsylvania.
Known to wrestling fans as The Butcher, Williams had a unique presence across both the wrestling and music worlds. He was best known musically for his work with Every Time I Die and Atomic Rule, while his professional wrestling career saw him become a familiar figure on the independent scene.
The upcoming memorial in North Tonawanda will ensure Williams’ legacy continues to have a physical presence in the community where he grew up.
