Katatonia has released a new music video directed by Ash Pears for their new single, “Behind The Blood”. The track is taken from the band’s eleventh studio album City Burials, which will see release on April 24th through Peaceville Records. Jonas Renske, the band’s vocalist, commented: “‘Behind The Blood‘ is a celebration of the heavy metal music that we all grew up with, modified to fit the Katatonia universe. The Acacia Strain has released another new EP, this one featuring “Solace And Serenity” and “The Lucid Dream”. The latter features guests vocals from Mortality Rate frontwoman Jess Nyx. The EP is called E which follows the EP they dropped in late February called D. Pure speculation on my end, but it appears the band’s latest album is being broken up into two-track EPs, which are being appointed a letter in order to spell out a word. The artwork for the first EP D , displays a lively tree with flowers, birds, and a very bright tone, while the artwork…
In This Moment has released “As Above, So Below” from their album Mother which will see release on March 27th. The band’s guitarist, Chris Howorth, spoke to Billboard.com about the vocal approach on the album, saying: “Maria [Brink, vocalist] loves the lo-fi sound and effects. Her favorite vocalist, Chino Moreno from the Deftones, has traditionally used tons of effects and things like that, so she’s always liked that. Kevin [Churko, producer] and I are always trying to get her to maybe not use quite as much because her voice is just so good, and to hear it raw, pure and sounding so clean is really a nice thing.”…

Pablo Davilla, the band’s guitarist offered the following comment on the video: “‘Creation‘ is an upbeat song on the surface, but it’s also meant to be meditative. I think it somehow conveys a subtle ‘otherworldliness’ that’s not easy to express. Dan Almasy did a great job of interpreting that vibe for us in this music video.” Commenting on the track itself, Rodrigo Carvalho, the band’s vocalist…
