Black Tide have continued their comeback with the release of a new single and accompanying music video for “Midgardsormen.”
As its title and visual presentation suggest, the track draws heavily from Norse mythology, specifically the legendary world serpent Jörmungandr. The song marks the latest chapter in the band’s return after spending roughly a decade away.
Black Tide officially began their comeback earlier this year with a cover of Thin Lizzy‘s “The Boys Are Back In Town,” marking their first new material since calling it quits in 2016.
The band originally made their mark early in their career after landing a major label deal and appearing on Ozzfest, establishing themselves as one of the more prominent young metal acts of their era before ultimately going on hiatus.
Now, Black Tide are once again active, with “Midgardsormen” serving as their latest offering.
