Bring Me The Horizon appear to have solved one of the lingering mysteries surrounding ‘Count Your Blessings | Repented’, the band’s upcoming complete re-recording of their 2006 debut album.
Since announcing back in April that Buster Odeholm (thrown, Vildhjarta, Humanity’s Last Breath) had handled the mixing for the project, the group have kept quiet regarding the release’s previously unannounced eleventh track. That mystery now appears to have been answered.
While a cover of Slipknot‘s “Eyeless” appeared on a special Hot Topic edition of the original ‘Count Your Blessings’, the bonus track on this new version looks to be an entirely new song titled “Dehumanized.”
The band have been teasing the track through video interludes during recent live performances and have now confirmed that “Dehumanized” will officially arrive on June 25. A preview of the accompanying video has also surfaced online.
Meanwhile, frontman Oli Sykes recently spoke at length about the decision to revisit the landmark deathcore record, explaining that the band had long been dissatisfied with the production of the original album and wanted to finally present the material the way they envisioned it.
Several special performances celebrating the album’s 20th anniversary are currently on the books:
- 07/10 Manchester, UK – B.E.C. Arena (feat. Static Dress, Dying Wish, Heriot, Rolo Tomassi, Car Underwater, Still In Love & Showing Teeth)
- 07/11 Manchester, UK – B.E.C. Arena (feat. Static Dress, Dying Wish, Heriot, Rolo Tomassi, Car Underwater, Still In Love & Showing Teeth)
- 10/11 Birmingham, AL – Furnace Fest
‘Count Your Blessings | Repented’ is scheduled for release on July 10.
