    Killswitch Engage’s Adam Dutkiewicz Confirms Burn Eternal’s Debut Is Complete, Says “It Sounds Like Me and Howard”

    Earlier this week, we noted that Howard Jones shared a “Happy New Year” post on Instagram featuring behind-the-scenes footage from a photo shoot tied to Burn Eternal, the new project pairing the former Killswitch Engage vocalist with Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz. At the time, it felt like a clear signal that more concrete news was imminent — and now, that suspicion has proven well-founded.

    Dutkiewicz has confirmed that Burn Eternal’s debut album is fully completed, with the duo currently in discussions with record labels about how and where the release will land. Speaking recently with TotalRock’s Louder, Dutkiewicz explained that while the music itself is finished, the business side is still being finalized. Dutkiewicz said:

    “It’s all ready to go. There’s still no release date, but it’s done. It’s done we’re still in the midst of talking with some record labels as well, so obviously that needs to be shored up as well. It’s in the process, though.”

    While details on a release date remain under wraps, Dutkiewicz also offered some insight into what fans can expect sonically from the project — unsurprisingly acknowledging familiar territory.

    “It sounds a bit like Killswitch, obviously, because I’m a songwriter for Killswitch. Yeah, it sounds like me and Howard.”

    With the album completed and label conversations actively happening, Burn Eternal appears to be entering the final stages before officially unveiling their debut — validating the recent hints and suggesting that an announcement may not be far off.

      Adam and Tyler were my guitar teachers in Westfield mass. I use to go to sing records and watch them record end of heart ache after my lesson in the lobby . Mom’s good friends with Adam’s mom and got me two months of lessons from him. Best thing ever.

      I’m so thankful for this. Killswitch sucks now since Howard left. I know it’s an unpopular opinion, but I can’t stand Jesse’s vocals. I have high hopes for this album.

      Ok cool, but when do we get a second Serpentine Dominion album and some live date’s, that first release was the sickest KSE album that wasn’t a KSE album

      Keep in mind Adam not only produced and mixed the project he also handled all the guitars bass drums and programming. Much like he did with times of grace . So if they decided to tour they would have to find guys to form a group and with who they both know and have been in bands with this won’t be an issue. Of course it will sound like killswitch both was the main songwriters for those albums except for end of heartache which was Adam and Jessie and a different lineup which is why there are 2 versions of the cd . As far as Howard coming back and doing a 3 days grace thing never say never

      I wish KSE would just do a dual lead singer, set up. I hear Howard I think KSE I hear Jesse I think KSE, love both of them and signal fire worked perfectly, so just bring them both in. They complement each other well.

      I used to think when Howard was vocalist that I wanted the old sound with Jesse, but when Jesse came back, I realized they lost the better vocalist.

      Adam D and Howard reign supreme again! God knows I’ve been waiting for too long, was gonna see them at noon to moon years ago and they canceled last minute, bummer ill never see the killswitch that got me through high school

        Nikolay Rusanov Adam has always had a way with words, go and watch Adam and howard describe, I think it was the as daylight dies album, Adam just sounded the riffs with his mouth while howard basically mocks himself singing. But Adam will be correct, it’ll sound like him and howard 🤣
