With Mudvayne preparing to step away for much of 2026, vocalist Chad Gray has announced a special one-off solo performance set to take place this spring in Las Vegas.
Gray revealed the April 24th show at the Backstage Bar & Billiards will celebrate ‘30 Years Of Madness’, featuring a career-spanning set drawing from both Mudvayne and HELLYEAH material. The performance will feature what Gray described as a more intimate, “storyteller vibe,” backed by HELLYEAH guitarist Christian Brady and Mudvayne touring guitarist Marcus Rafferty. Kami Kehoe will open the night.
While currently billed as a standalone event, Gray has left the door open for additional dates depending on how things unfold. Tickets for the Las Vegas show are available now via Dice.fm.
Speaking on social media on January 23rd, Gray also confirmed that Mudvayne intend to take most of 2026 off, explaining that the break motivated him to explore something new creatively.
“Mudvayne is taking a break for 2026 but I just can’t do that,” Gray wrote. “Music, creating, playing are the wells that I draw my happiness from so I need to keep going.”
He added that the Las Vegas performance is currently the only confirmed date, though future shows remain a possibility.
“As of right this second this will be one show on the 24th of April in Las Vegas… and we will just have to see what happens from there,” he continued. “Mudvayne and Hellyeah songs from the same stage, the same night, at the same time… this is gonna be FUUUUN.”
Gray also noted that the timing aligns with the Sick New World festival weekend, encouraging fans in town to stop by the night before the festival kicks off.
In a separate interview with Rock Feed, Gray admitted he’s feeling some nerves about stepping out in a solo capacity, while making it clear this isn’t the start of a full-fledged solo career.
“I’m nervous about it,” Gray said. “I’m not saying I want to chase this whole solo career thing… this is a nice buffer for this break that’s apparently taking place with Mudvayne.”
He went on to explain that the show represents more than just performing live.
“This just gives me something to do. And you know, I’m not only just playing the shows, but I want to create… that’s where I’m happiest. And so I think I’m just kind of doing this for me and I’m doing it for the fans.”
For now, the Las Vegas performance stands as a rare opportunity for fans to hear material from both bands in a single, intimate setting as Mudvayne prepare to temporarily step away.

Tyler Meise gold
Tyler Meise 💀
Tyler Meise fuck sakes 🤦🏼♂️
Tyler Meise I just leared something new
Stefan Morley it’s weird saying ” last” since it was literally last month. 🤔
Charlie Tonche They’re wrong, she died last September.
Stefan Morley I get that, but Chad is basically saying me over you. Playing songs from mudvayne and hellyeah? What a fucking conceded douche. The reason hellyeah was formed in the first place is showing.
Stefan Morley *thair
Stefan Morley that part. Grief is a powerful thing. Everyone is different, best not complain when people all go through lyfe/tragedy/lyfe/tragedy etc, that was a tragedy for him(I’m guessing) happened to me in 2024 when Meemaw passed on. At least some people got to experience one of the bands that shaped my teenhood.
Stefan Morley she really did die 😭
I’m glad they’re giving greg time.
Such a
Shame would love a UK show
Daniel Pearce I’m sure they would be down for it it’s a bigger payout than their hometown Peoria Illinois 🤷
Hellyeah !
Let them take their time they have always been there for us metalhead’s my condolences to Gregg.❤️
My opinion they sold out when they didn’t come to their hometown. Illinois on their last tour
So Sully they played a show in Chicago in 2025
So Sully prob why You live in Illinois 💁
So Sully you know they play where promoters offer to hook them, right? They don’t reach out to specific cities they play. If you aren’t getting shows that are in route, that’s your local booking agents, not the band usually.
Do I see Hellyeah making a comeback
Justin Serpico god I hope so
Andy without Vinnie? $$$
Martin Vieweg yes! Roy did a great job. He is not Vinnie but I think Vinnie would want the band to continue
Justin Serpico absolutely not, that was gone as soon as we lost Vinny and I don’t see Chad being that money hungry to disrespect legacies.
Justin Serpico tbh they should continue hellyeah under a different name snice vinnie is gone
Since Mudvayne is down for now, Ryan should considering touring with Limp Bizkit, or even Korn. Fantastic bass player!!!!
Nick Spetz or….. Write another amazing album with Soften the Glare. I’m more interested in them than this half assed Mudvayne reunion.
Nick Spetz or STG would cool to see a full time tour even 🤷🏻♂️
Nick Spetz it’s not up to him to decide on where is going to play. Both Korn and Limp Bizkit already have bassists.
Nick Spetz Ryan is on a different level from those bands. He’s way too good to waste his talent on them.
All I want is for HELLYEAH making a comeback!
Toph Beifong Vinny was 100% against a Pantera reunion without a founding member. Not sure he’d be good with that either, judging from his stance on Pantera.
They sucked at aftershock
Hard pass he’s terrible
Greenbay Moreno at what??
Greenbay Moreno said one person…… you. 🤣
I think the bands just over chads ego
Blly Chrch no it’s because Greg’s wife died last month.
Sean Goodpaster oh damn
Tf what about the new album
Michael Hill I remember seeing a clip of him saying a new (Mudvayne) album is coming.. so maybe this means a hiatus from touring (temporarily?)
Michael Hill Its a hiatus form touring so they can record the new album. Read between the lines. Lol
Michael Hill it’s coming Bro. Give it some time…
Michael Hill He told me in October he never wants to make another album. Singles only. 🤷♀️
Michael Hill never said they were recording and album. They released 2 new singles.
I once believed that they’d never return, so I’m grateful that they have in general. Give the man his time to process and grieve.
No stay with mudvayne
The point you are all missing is this venue holds 800 🤘🏻
Lol here we go again !
Well that was short lived
Come to Jergels!!!
fans know the guitar players wife recently passed away. So im not surprised they are taking a break. Would be worse to me if they didn’t give him time or got a long term sub to be able to give him time. I’m sure Chad will do something and Ryan will be playing more shows and possibly recording another album with his other project Soften the Glare. We waited a long time to get some new Mudvayne material and we did get some. Hopefully this break will be what is needed to regroup and maybe write their best material yet.
I know right they’re like all they pulled their new music made it newer they’ve got a new album coming out oh you’re not going to do anything on 26 what the hell fuck you internet
That didn’t take long
Im excited to find out all the musicians involved in this!!!
800
All the more reason to film it
So basically MUDYEAH 😆🤣
What happen to new music from mudvayne of u guys remember this is how mudvayne end before taking a break.
HELLYEAH!
Chad is awful.
Hell yeah
Better not be as long of a hiatus as the last one…..
Awesome. I can hear all his terrible songs a in one place. 😂 I kid, I kid.
Weren’t they just on break for like 14 years?
❤️👹
