Mudvayne and HELLYEAH frontman Chad Gray has released a music video for his metal-leaning cover of Christina Aguilera’s “Beautiful.” Gray says the song’s message of self-acceptance has become even more meaningful through his sobriety and personal growth, while original songwriter Linda Perry has praised his passionate rendition.

Dead Wyte, the new project featuring Mudvayne guitarist Greg Tribbett and his brother, Derrick “DJ Sinister” Tribbett, have released their debut single, “Mother Trucker.” DJ Sinister is known for his work with Dope, Twisted Method and Makeshift Romeo, while Greg Tribbett continues making music outside of Mudvayne’s current hiatus.

Mudvayne and HELLYEAH vocalist Chad Gray has opened up about his current vocal cord injury, revealing that doctors discovered one vocal fold is twice the width of the other and a damaged blood vessel. Gray says he is “fucking scared to death” about what the injury could mean for his voice and career.
