Nashville, TN metalcore outfit Chamber have shared a second single from their forthcoming album this is goodbye…. The track, titled “Without A Trace,” arrives accompanied by a newly released video, giving fans a glimpse into the band’s next chapter.
Vocalist and guitarist Gabe Manuel spoke on the track’s creation and meaning, reflecting on its place in the album and its lyrical themes:
“’Without a Trace‘ came together really early on in the writing process, and was initially supposed to be the first song on the record. We realized during tracking that it belonged on the latter half of the record for pacing reasons, but it was hard to give up on the idea of raking that fucked up chord being the first thing that listeners would hear.
That moment is still one of my favorites on the record. The end of this song has a breakdown buildup that could have fit on our first EP, so it’s nice to nod back to that incarnation of the band. Lyrically, this song is about broken people who grift their way to positions of power or success with no regard for the people they hurt along the way. Even if they never truly get what they deserve, when the lights go out at night they still have to reckon with who they really are.”
The single continues to build anticipation for this is goodbye…, which is scheduled for release via Pure Noise Records on March 27th.
