Tensions between co-headliners CKY and Alien Ant Farm have boiled over mid-tour, resulting in CKY’s removal from the European and UK leg of the run. The decision appears to stem from an alleged altercation involving CKY vocalist/guitarist Chad I Ginsburg and Alien Ant Farm frontman Dryden Mitchell.
The news broke on November 9th, when Mitchell issued a lengthy social media statement accusing Ginsburg of escalating behavior that ultimately turned physical. According to Mitchell, the incident occurred earlier that day and was the culmination of mounting internal issues between the bands.
Mitchell described ongoing tension throughout the European dates, claiming Ginsburg had mistreated crew members and created an unworkable environment. He detailed a failed attempt to address the issues privately, which he said ended with Ginsburg overturning a table and walking out on a scheduled performance.
The final straw reportedly came during a business discussion between the camps, at which point Ginsburg allegedly punched Mitchell in the face and fled the scene. Despite the incident, Mitchell emphasized his refusal to retaliate and stated that the tour would continue as planned—just without CKY.
Mitchell also expressed sympathy for the rest of CKY, saying he bore no ill will toward Jess Margera or Elvis Kuehn, and apologized to fans who were looking forward to seeing the band on the remaining dates.
“We’re committed to making the rest of this tour a positive experience, and we welcome CKY fans to still come out and have a great time with us. Refunds will be available to those who choose otherwise.”
This development also casts uncertainty on the band’s scheduled co-headlining tour of Australia, which was slated for February. As of now, no official word has come from CKY or any of its members regarding the incident or their removal from the tour.
