Ice Nine Kills have been tapped to provide the music for the new “Terror Tram Starring Art The Clown” attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood’s annual Halloween Horror Nights event.
The attraction will bring the world of the ‘Terrifier’ franchise to the Universal Studios Backlot, with Art The Clown hijacking the Terror Tram for his own twisted take on the holiday season. Ice Nine Kills will provide the accompanying score for the experience.
The ‘Terrifier’-themed Terror Tram will run from September 03rd through November 01st as part of this year’s Halloween Horror Nights.
According to Universal Studios Hollywood, guests can expect Art The Clown to arrive on the backlot with a blood-soaked bag of presents before realizing he has shown up too early for Christmas. He subsequently takes over the Terror Tram and creates his own horrific holiday tradition, with the attraction putting a twisted spin on familiar Christmas classics and featuring music from Ice Nine Kills.
For Ice Nine Kills vocalist Spencer Charnas, the collaboration represents another connection between the band and the horror world that has become a major part of their identity.
“We are forever honored that ‘Terrifier’ writer/director Damien Leone and his team invited us to play in their sandbox of bloodshed. Art himself, David Howard Thornton, killed it in the ‘A Work Of Art’ music video, and we’ve had Damien and several of his cast members at our Silver Scream Cons every year so far. Halloween Horror Nights is among our favorite destinations each season, and our fans love it, too. This is yet another natural step forward in our unnatural world of horror.”
The new attraction continues the longstanding relationship between Ice Nine Kills and the ‘Terrifier’ franchise, with David Howard Thornton, who portrays Art The Clown, having previously appeared in the band’s “A Work Of Art” music video.
