Converge Announce Second 2026 Album ‘Hum Of Hurt’, Title Track Arrives Tomorrow

After kicking off 2026 with a long-awaited full-length release, Converge are already preparing to unleash another new record. The metalcore innovators have confirmed that their second album of the year, Hum Of Hurt, will arrive June 5th via Epitaph Records.

The band entered the studio last year with an unusually large batch of material while recording Love Is Not Enough, their first proper studio album since 2017’s The Dusk In Us. Drummer Ben Koller previously revealed that roughly 27 song ideas were developed during those sessions, with at least 17 fully tracked. Only 10 ultimately made the final cut of February’s release, leaving plenty of unreleased material waiting in the wings.

Speculation surrounding that remaining music intensified recently when a cryptic Converge billboard appeared in Boston, MA displaying record label logos — a move that hinted something new was imminent. That mystery has now been solved.

Listings on Apple Music confirm Hum Of Hurt as a companion follow-up drawn from those same prolific sessions. The album’s title track will serve as the first single and is scheduled to premiere online tomorrow, April 1st.
