After nearly a decade between traditional studio albums, Converge are now firmly back in a prolific era. The influential metalcore pioneers have unveiled the title track from their upcoming new album Hum Of Hurt, while officially confirming the record’s release date.
The Salem, Massachusetts band only recently returned with Love Is Not Enough, their first standard studio album in almost nine years — or eleventh overall when including their collaborative Bloodmoon release. Rather than slowing down, the group have revealed that another full-length album was created during the same creative burst.
Set for release on June 5, Hum Of Hurt features material recorded during the Love Is Not Enough sessions, when the band entered the studio with dozens of newly written songs. Early speculation about additional music began after a cryptic billboard appeared in Boston, MA teasing another project, and that mystery has now been fully revealed.
The newly released title track gives fans a first proper look at this second 2026 album, continuing the band’s signature blend of chaotic intensity, emotional weight, and forward-thinking hardcore experimentation that has defined Converge’s legacy for decades.
