The troubled ‘C.Y. Fest’ will move forward under new management after its founder, Ignacio “Nacho Corrupted” Rodriguera, announced he is stepping aside amid multiple sexual misconduct and assault allegations. In a statement released March 17th, Rodriguera denied the claims, calling them “false” and “misinformation,” and said he would focus on resolving the matter legally while allowing the festival to proceed without distraction.
“The C.Y. festival has recently faced significant challenges due to false allegations and misinformation. I am stepping away to focus entirely on addressing these matters through the proper legal channels. My priority is ensuring that the community can still come together and have a great weekend without distractions. I’m announcing that the venues and their staff, along with an outside promoter will be stepping in to run the festival/shows. I have full confidence that their team will deliver the experience you all deserve.

Taking over the festival is Scotty Heath, owner of Tankcrimes. In a video statement, Heath clarified that he cannot comment on the allegations, which are now a legal matter. He added that he had no prior relationship with Rodriguera and reached out proactively to offer a solution to salvage the festival.
The 2026 edition of ‘C.Y. Fest’ will take place March 28th at The Belasco in Los Angeles, CA. The lineup still includes prominent acts such as Subhumans, Eyehategod, Pig Destroyer, Ghoul, and others who were originally scheduled before the controversy arose.
