Danielle Fishel, best known for her role as Topanga Lawrence on the hit sitcom Boy Meets World, recently brought some unexpected metal energy to the set of American Idol during the show’s Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Week.
A longtime outspoken metal fan, Fishel—who has previously described herself as a “massive Slipknot fan”—was seen quizzing people around the set on their knowledge of Slipknot lyrics.
Her challenge centered around finishing one of the most infamous lines from “Eyeless,” taken from Slipknot’s 1999 self-titled debut album. While Fishel said the song is one of her personal favorites, most of the people she approached struggled to complete the lyric.
One recognizable face familiar to wrestling fans reportedly performed better than the rest.
The backstage segment aired as American Idol wrapped its Rock Hall-themed week, which concluded with the announcement of this year’s Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductees during the April 13th broadcast.
For longtime fans, it was another reminder that the former Boy Meets World star has never been shy about her love for heavy music.
