DAYSEEKER Announce New Album ‘Creature In The Black Night’, Drop Title Track Video

Dayseeker have officially announced their seventh studio album, Creature In The Black Night, which is set for release on October 24th through Spinefarm Records. Alongside the reveal, the post-hardcore outfit have also shared the title track’s music video, directed by Orie McGinness (Bad Omens, I Prevail).

The album was produced by Daniel Braunstein (Spiritbox, Silent Planet) and mixed by Zakk Cervini (Bring Me The Horizon, Lorna Shore). Frontman Rory Rodriguez described the inspiration behind the title track:

“‘Creature In The Black Night’ is the darker part of your conscience overpowering you. It’s about the rush you’re addicted to that you can’t ignore.”

As for the album’s broader tone and theme, Rodriguez explained:

“There’s a horror-inspired vibe that took hold early on. It wasn’t planned. But once it started showing up in the songs, we leaned into it.”

“There was this idea that we’d get more and more commercial over time. But I think the opposite happened — we’re riffing more, I’m screaming more. And it feels good. It feels honest.”
