Modern nü-metal outfit DED have announced an expanded deluxe edition of their third studio album ‘Resent’, which is set to arrive July 3 through UNFD.
The updated release will feature 11 additional tracks made up of previously unreleased songs and demo recordings. Leading the rollout is the newly released single “Weapon,” which the band have now shared alongside the announcement.
Frontman Joe Cotela described the song as a defining example of the band’s sound and message.
“This is a straight-up quintessential DED track, encompassing all of the things the band is known for sonically.”
Cotela also spoke about the emotional and unifying power behind music, which serves as the track’s central theme.
“Music can raise awareness, unify people, and serve as the safest place for both the artist and the listener to exist freely beyond the constraints of being in a body.”

The deluxe edition release will arrive just ahead of DED’s upcoming North American headlining tour, which will feature support from Dropout Kings and VRSTY.
