DETHKLOK Announce Spring 2026 North American Tour with Amon Amarth & Castle Rat

The worlds of animated extreme metal, Viking fury, and medieval doom are set to collide next spring. Dethklok and Amon Amarth will unite for a co-headlining North American run in April and May of 2026, with rising doom crusaders Castle Rat enlisted to open the nightly battle.

Titled “The Amonlok Conquest”, the trek marks two major milestones: a new era for Amon Amarth and the 20th anniversary of Adult Swim’s beloved metal satire Metalocalypse, the franchise responsible for Dethklok’s creation.

Amon Amarth described the bill in suitably brutal fashion:

“Three bands. One night. The strong will scream. The weak will fall. Limbs will be lost. We will crush skulls beneath our boots and tear the halls down stone by stone. This is not a concert. It is a reckoning. If you survive… perhaps the gods have other plans for you.”

Dethklok mastermind Brendon Small added that fans should expect a full-scale spectacle:

“We are celebrating our 20th anniversary, and what better way to do it, with Amon Amarth and Castle Rat, who embody theatrical heavy metal. We’re going to entertain you as hard as we possibly can with the power of heavy metal in many kinds of ways… We also get to be funny.”

Meanwhile, Castle Rat’s The Rat Queen framed the upcoming campaign in lore-driven terms:

“On the heels of the Vernal Equinox, our adjacent universes shall align as we bring .•.The Realm.•. of Castle Rat into battle… Join us, as we seek to expand and defend .•.The Realm.•. from our arch nemesis: Death, Herself — The Rat Reaperess!”
