Dethklok had their set in Milwaukee, Wisconsin unexpectedly halted on May 16 after heavy stage fog and smoke effects triggered the venue’s fire alarm system.
The performance took place at Landmark Credit Union Live and was stopped roughly eight songs into the set. According to attendees, the disruption occurred during “Black Fire Upon Us,” when the production effects reportedly overwhelmed the venue’s sensors, forcing an abrupt shutdown of the show.
The incident was notable given the unusual cause, with theatrical smoke and fog—not pyro—responsible for cutting the performance short.
Following the stoppage, Dethklok co-creator Brendon Small addressed fans via Instagram Stories, acknowledging the early end to the concert and promising updates for ticket holders.
“Thanks for your cooperation at tonight’s show. Since the show ended early, we’re working with the venue to make this right for you. Ticket holders will receive an email with more information soon.”
The Milwaukee show was part of The Amonlok Conquest Tour, featuring Dethklok alongside Amon Amarth and Castle Rat.
The tour continues with remaining dates in Columbus, Denver, Salt Lake City, and Las Vegas.

It was crazy. Amon Amarth was kick ass as usual though. Wish we could have seen all of Dethklol- they were a first for me.
Doesn’t happen at The Rave / Eagles Club …just saying
Yeah, I was there. It was absolutely wild. I was in the middle of the mosh pit tearing it up and suddenly it came to a full stop. The emergency house lights kicked on and both the band and the stagehands had no clue what was going on. Everyone was standing there confused and a stagehand came and told some people in the front row that they were still figuring it out. After a couple minutes all of us were kicked out. Totally lame.
Hunter Weston us stagehands knew what was up. You definitely weren’t talking to any of us
Daniel M Hellquist That’s just a blatant lie. A middle aged guy in a baseball cap and glasses talked to people in the front row and told us it they were still working out what happened and that the power was out. Just because you were busy with some task, doesn’t mean this didn’t happen. Also, if you guys all knew what happened, how come the audience wasn’t made aware until far later than they should have been. Ridiculous.
