The Dillinger Escape Plan and fellow New Jersey outfit Nora are bringing their long-out-of-print 1998 split EP to vinyl for the first time, with two limited-edition variants set to arrive alongside the conclusion of Dillinger’s ‘Calculating Infinity’ anniversary shows.
The band announced the release on October 9, revealing that one version will be available exclusively at select October tour dates, while a second variant will be sold online through Ferret Music.
“In 1998 we released a split EP with fellow New Jersey band, @norariotsquad. The EP was only released physically on CD and since then has not been pressed.”
The band continued by detailing the two editions, with a half-gray, half-pink pressing available in person at the October shows and an orange-and-black splatter variant arriving through Ferret Music. Both editions are highly limited and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
The original split featured an early alternate version of The Dillinger Escape Plan’s “4th Grade Dropout,” while Nora contributed “The Power Of” and “Murder One.” The online variant was scheduled to become available through Ferret Music on October 13, coinciding with the tour’s launch.
The vinyl release arrives as The Dillinger Escape Plan approach the end of their ‘Calculating Infinity’ anniversary run. The band initially disbanded in 2017 before reuniting in 2023 with original vocalist Dimitri Minakakis to celebrate the landmark mathcore album’s 25th anniversary. Those performances continued beyond the initial celebration, with the group announcing in June that the upcoming dates would bring the run to a close. No further plans have been announced beyond these shows.
