NOLA sludge metal supergroup Down are building anticipation for their next era, sharing a teaser for an upcoming new music video set to arrive later this week. The full clip is scheduled to premiere this Friday, February 13th, marking the latest sign of activity from the veteran outfit.
The band’s next studio album — their fourth overall — remains tentatively expected sometime this year. Recording sessions for the release reportedly took place throughout 2025, positioning the effort as their first proper full-length in nearly two decades.
If that timeline holds, the new record will follow Down’s last full studio outing, which arrived back in 2007, ending one of the longer gaps between releases in the group’s history. More details surrounding the album and the forthcoming video are expected soon.
