Dragged Into Sunlight Release Statement on Meth.’s Removal from Upcoming Tour, Announce Replacements

This week, Chicago-based experimental metal outfit Meth. announced they were removed from the upcoming North American tour in support of Dragged Into Sunlight. The removal stems from their previous affiliation with Prosthetic Records, which conflicted with the tour’s artistic direction.

Dragged Into Sunlight issued a statement explaining the decision:

“USA and Canada 2025 tour update: Meth. will no longer be opening the tour due to an oversight by our small team. Although they parted ways with their label a few days ago, their records are still actively being sold and distributed, which conflicts with our position. We raised concerns early on, but unfortunately, they were not acknowledged. After a chat with the band, it did not feel right to continue. We choose who we work with, and it’s a basic artistic freedom to be able to do so.”
