Evanescence, the diamond-certified alternative metal/nü-metal pioneers, are set to release a brand new single titled “Afterlife” this Friday, March 28th, across all major digital platforms. The track is featured on the soundtrack for the upcoming Netflix adaptation of the Devil May Cry video game series.
The animated series has also enlisted some iconic figures from the peak of nü-metal, with Limp Bizkit contributing the opening theme and Papa Roach‘s multi-platinum 2000 hit “Last Resort” making an appearance in a recent trailer.
A lyric video for “Afterlife,” which includes clips from the series, will drop a day early at 09:00am PST / 12:00pm EST. Fans can pre-save the track at netflixmusic.ffm.to/afterlife. Devil May Cry will be available for streaming on Netflix starting April 3rd.
