Evanescence added a familiar guest to their set during Saturday night’s (December 13th) Almost Acoustic Christmas festival at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, inviting Papa Roach frontman Jacoby Shaddix onstage for a special performance of their breakout hit, “Bring Me To Life.”
Shaddix handled the guest vocal sections made famous by 12 Stones singer Paul McCoy on the original studio version, giving the crowd a nostalgia-heavy moment tied directly to the band’s early mainstream breakthrough.
“Bring Me To Life” remains a defining track for Evanescence, serving as the launchpad for their debut album Fallen, which went on to achieve diamond certification in the United States. More than two decades later, the song continues to reach new milestones, surpassing one billion streams on Spotify in January 2024 and solidifying its place as the band’s most enduring release.
The onstage reunion with Shaddix marked another reminder of the song’s lasting cultural impact, especially within the alternative and nu-metal scenes that helped shape its original rise.

I was there, I loved it! You could tell he was so pumped to do that part because he started it several times before his cue but I have to say it absolutely added to the entertainment of the song instead of seeming like a mistake. Seeing this concert was an absolute core memory of my life!
