Exodus Debut Doom-Influenced “Goliath” Music Video Ahead Of New Album

Thrash legends Exodus have shared the doomy title track from their upcoming 12th studio album, Goliath, which is set for release March 20 via Napalm Records. The single features guest violinist Katie Jacoby (The Who, Mariachi El Bronx), adding a sweeping, cinematic layer to the band’s traditionally aggressive sound.

The group commented on the track:

“‘Goliath’ may quite possibly be the heaviest thing we have ever done, and certainly the slowest song in our catalog, as close to doom metal as Exodus we get! Just pure evil, as sinister as it gets, featuring our friend Katie Jacoby, who laid down 18 tracks of strings in the middle harmony section, making the song go from just pure horror to a thing of beauty.”

A music video for “Goliath,” co-directed by Tony Aguilera & Jim Louvau (Jerry Cantrell, Carnifex), accompanies the release, marking the first visual glimpse of the album. Exodus have been working on two new albums over the past year, with Goliath set to lead the charge.
