The circumstances surrounding Steven Worley’s departure from Internal Bleeding have come into greater focus following the emergence of details regarding a legal matter involving the former vocalist.
Internal Bleeding announced Theo Vlahos of Weeping and Vomit Forth as their new vocalist this past June. The announcement followed a period in which the death metal veterans had been touring with Skinless vocalist Sherwood Webber in April.
At the time, the band did not disclose why they had parted ways with Worley. However, Lambgoat has now reported that the 40-year-old vocalist was arrested in Cherokee County, Georgia, on May 9, 2026, on a charge of harassing communications.
According to court documents cited in the report, the charge stems from allegations that Worley repeatedly contacted an individual through phone calls, text messages and emails after the person had sent him a cease-and-desist notice via certified mail.
The Cherokee County Solicitor General stated:
“On or about May 5, 2026, [Worley] did unlawfully then and there commit the offense of harassing communications did contact [name redacted] repeatedly, for the purpose of harassing said person, by contacting said person by calls, text messages, and emails after the victim sent a cease-and-desist notice through certified mail.”
Worley was reportedly released after posting a $1,000 bond. His arraignment is currently scheduled for November 10.
It remains unclear whether the legal matter played any role in Internal Bleeding’s decision to move on from Worley, as the band has not publicly provided a reason for his departure.
