Former Mushroomhead Frontmen Waylon Reavis & Jason “J Mann” Popson Reunite On New A Killer’s Confession Track

Former Mushroomhead frontmen Waylon Reavis and Jason “J Mann” Popson have reunited for a long-anticipated collaboration on A Killer’s Confession‘s new single, “In Case Of Emergency.” This marks the first time the duo has worked together since the 2014 release of Mushroomhead’s The Righteous & The Butterfly. Along with the track’s release, fans can check out the accompanying music video below.

Waylon Reavis, the mastermind behind A Killer’s Confession, shared his thoughts on the reunion:

“20 years ago, Jason ‘JMann’ Popson gave me an opportunity of a lifetime and I have forever been grateful. He chose me to be his successor, believed in me when no one else would. Last year, a mutual friend passed away and my wife Julie suggested I’d give him a call and find out what happened. This was the best decision I had ever made to pick up that phone. We started talking and before we knew it we were sitting in my studio writing ‘In Case Of Emergency.’ The song came out very organically and lyrically spoke of how Jason and I truly feel. I’m so excited for this release because this will be the first release Jason and I have done in 10 years.”

Jason “JMann” Popson added:

“It was wonderful to create with Waylon again. Ten years later and we hadn’t skipped a beat—things clicked immediately, as if not a day had passed. I think we created something we both can be proud of. I hope people enjoy it as much as we enjoyed recording it.”

The release of “In Case Of Emergency“ comes at the perfect time, as the duo gears up for their upcoming tour, “A Horrifying Trip Back to the 2000s.” A Killer’s Confession will hit the road with JMann, performing classic Mushroomhead material alongside Richarch “Stitch” Tomas and Daniel “Lil Dan” Fox. The tour will be supported by VentanA and Aeternum.
