Full Of Hell have announced their sixth studio album, Coagulated Bliss, will be released through Close Casket Activities on April 26th. The video below is for the album’s lead single, which is called “Doors To Mental Agony“
Dylan Walker, the band’s vocalist/programmer, offered:
“In this life there are many doors. Rural America exists in a vacuum with its own mundane horrors and dead ends. Every person you know will stumble through one of these doors at some point, falling into mistakes that can’t be undone. Look on reality and weep.”
Recording sessions for the album took place at Developing Nations in Baltimore, MD with Kevin Berstein, and mixing was done by Taylor Young of Twitching Tongues at The Pit Recording Studio in Van Nuys, CA. Nick Townsend handled the mastering.
Regarding the album, which is inspired by the ‘horror’ of smalltown America and it’s title, Walker added:
“Your happiness is just out of reach and you don’t know why. Too much of this bliss, you think you’ve found your endpoint, but it’s really just this small, tiny, little thing that’s going to ruin your fucking life. And that could be anything.”
Spencer Hazard, the band’s guitarist/programmer, offered:
“The American dream is small towns. But anyone that’s grown up in a small town realizes it’s just as fucked up in a small town as it is in a big city—if not more, because it’s more condensed.”
Walker later said of the scope of the record, “We’ve shed any kind of ‘do we belong in this space, what do people expect of us. The joy is in the pursuit.”
