A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to support the mother of late CDC frontman Gordon “Kaelin” McIntyre, who tragically passed away last week following a motorcycle accident.
McIntyre died on September 9 after being struck by a vehicle while riding his Harley-Davidson in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. He was killed in the crash after suffering fatal injuries.
The newly launched fundraiser is seeking to raise $100,000 for McIntyre’s mother, Denise, who was his only parent and best friend.
According to the campaign, McIntyre and his mother were extremely close and frequently traveled together. The fundraiser was established to provide Denise with financial support and some security as she continues to grieve the loss of her son.
“If there’s one thing anyone knows about Kaelin, it’s how much he loved his mother, Denise, or ‘Kaelsma.’ He was her only child, and she was a single mom. They vacationed together multiple times a year, were joined at the hip, and were best friends.”
The organizer explained that McIntyre and his mother shared household expenses, and while the fundraiser is not primarily intended to cover funeral costs, the goal is to give Denise financial freedom and stability during an incredibly difficult period.
“We would all love to give Denise some cushion, financial freedom, and the ability to grieve however she needs to. As she said to me, Kaelin was her home. We want her to be set up for success and comfort down the line.”
The organizer also revealed that they had a close personal relationship with McIntyre and confirmed that the funds will be transferred directly to Denise.
“If you loved Kaelin, you’d know the #1 thing he would want is for us all to look after Kaelsma. That’s what this GoFundMe is for.”
All proceeds from the campaign will go directly to Denise.
There will not be a formal funeral service for McIntyre. Instead, a celebration of life is planned for September 27 at Gaul in Port Richmond, with additional details expected to be announced.
The campaign concludes with a tribute to McIntyre:
“Gordon Kaelin Rambo McIntyre forever. It can’t rain all the time.”
