Mudvayne’s L.D. 50 25th anniversary tour is scheduled to start tonight, September 11th, in Dubuque, IA, however guitarist Greg Tribbett will not be joining the band. Tribbett has opted to stay home following the passing of his wife, Debbie Tribbett. As of now, it is unclear if he will rejoin the band at any point during the tour.
Debbie, who was diagnosed with angiosarcoma in 2024, passed away on September 7th after battling this rare form of breast cancer. Last month, she shared a heartfelt message upon entering hospice:
“Thank you everyone for your prayers through my cancer journey. I’m still going to fight in other ways to prolong my life but I do start hospice tomorrow hoping the rest of my time here on earth is less painful. Please continue to pray for my family especially when I’m gone. If you happen to see them remind them how much I love them. Thank you to everyone that’s been a part of my beautiful life. I love you.”
The progressive nü-metal band announced Tribbett’s absence this morning, sharing:
“Tour starts today! We are going to miss our brother Greg on this tour, sending him and his family all the love.”
