The star-studded lineup for the farewell sendoff of Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne just got even more legendary. The sold-out event, set for July 5th at Villa Park in Birmingham, UK, will mark the final onstage reunion of Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward, closing the chapter on one of heavy metal’s most iconic legacies.
Before Black Sabbath takes the stage for one last time, Osbourne will deliver a short solo set, celebrating his decades-long career outside the band.
Joining the already stacked bill are Guns N’ Roses, Tool, and Rival Sons, rounding out an all-star lineup. The updated roster for this historic event now includes:
Metallica
Guns N’ Roses
Slayer
Tool
Pantera
Gojira
Halestorm
Alice In Chains
Lamb Of God
Anthrax
Mastodon
Rival Sons
Adding even more firepower to the event, Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello has been announced as the musical director for a special jam session tribute honoring the legendary works of Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne.
This all-star performance will feature a rotating cast of musicians, with the following participants confirmed so far:
Andrew Watt
Billy Corgan (The Smashing Pumpkins)
Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers)
Danny Carey (Tool)
David Draiman (Disturbed)
David Ellefson (ex-Megadeth)
Duff McKagan (Guns N’ Roses)
Fred Durst (Limp Bizkit)
Lzzy Hale (Halestorm)
Jake E. Lee (Red Dragon Cartel, ex-Ozzy Osbourne)
Jonathan Davis (Korn)
KK Downing (KK’s Priest, ex-Judas Priest)
Mike Bordin (Faith No More/Ozzy Osbourne)
Papa V Perpetua (Ghost)
Rudy Sarzo (Quiet Riot, etc.)
Sammy Hagar (ex-Van Halen)
Slash (Guns N’ Roses)
II (Sleep Token)
Tom Morello (Rage Against The Machine)
Vernon Reid (Living Colour)
Whitfield Crane (Ugly Kid Joe)
Wolfgang Van Halen (Mammoth WVH, ex-Van Halen)
However, as revealed over the weekend, Ozzy Osbourne’s ongoing health challenges will limit his participation in the event. Rather than full sets with both Black Sabbath and his solo band, Osbourne is now expected to perform only select songs.
