Head Automatica, the indie-leaning side project led by Glassjaw vocalist Daryl Palumbo, have announced a run of West Coast U.S. tour dates set to kick off this June as anticipation builds around the band’s long-awaited third studio album.
The brief trek launches June 1st and will see the group performing a string of intimate club shows across the western United States. Tickets for the run are scheduled to go on sale this Friday, April 10th.
Beyond the summer dates, the band have also confirmed an appearance at the Bolero Block Party on September 25th in Meadowlands, NJ, where they’ll share the stage with Gym Class Heroes and Mandancing during the festival’s opening day.
In addition to returning to the stage, Head Automatica are preparing to finally deliver their first new album since 2006’s Popaganda. The upcoming release follows the standalone singles “Annulment” and “Bear The Cross,” which surfaced over the past several years and hinted at renewed activity from the group.
The current lineup features Palumbo alongside longtime guitarist Craig Bonich and bassist Richard Flesh (Richard Penzone). Glassjaw drummer Chad Hasty contributes behind the kit, while Eric Mitchell handles the project’s electronic elements. Further details regarding the long-in-development album are expected to arrive in the coming months.
