After weeks of uncertainty and a fresh round of confusion earlier this week, organizers behind Hellfest 2026 have officially confirmed that the festival will take place at the Carteret Performing Arts Center in New Jersey from July 3-5.
The announcement brings some stability to an event that has faced multiple venue issues in recent weeks. Organizers revealed that neither of the two previously announced locations would ultimately be able to host the revived hardcore and metal festival, forcing them to make a difficult choice.
“Simply put, we were left with two choices: relocate or cancel. Cancellation was never an option we were willing to accept, so we once again began searching for a solution that would allow us to move forward.”
According to the festival, the move to Carteret comes with several perks, including a return to an indoor setting with air conditioning, nearby parking, improved access for travelers arriving through Newark Airport, and the ability for attendees to leave and re-enter the venue throughout the day.
Organizers also noted that there will be no barricade inside the venue. Fans looking to step away from the action will have access to downstairs bar and restaurant areas, which will host free FIFA watch parties during the weekend. Multiple food options, including vegetarian and vegan choices, will also be available.
“Most importantly, Hellfest 2026 is happening. We appreciate everyone’s patience and support through these challenges, and we look forward to seeing all of you in Carteret on Friday, July 3rd.”
The second installment of the revived Hellfest is being spearheaded by Trustkill Records and Ephyra, with this year’s lineup featuring Hatebreed, Glassjaw, Disembodied, Suicide Silence, Earth Crisis, and numerous other hardcore and metal acts.
With the venue finally locked in, organizers appear confident that the festival will proceed as planned despite the chaotic road leading up to opening day.
