British post-metalcore outfit Heriot have unveiled their new single, “Master Of Deceit,” alongside a deluxe edition of their latest album, Devoured By The Mouth Of Hell. The expanded version of the record also includes last November’s track “Commander Of Pain,” giving fans a fresh listening experience.
The band commented on the meaning behind “Master Of Deceit”:
“‘Master Of Deceit’ is centred around the idea of the human experience being diminished through pressures of conformity and fear. It touches on how individualism is being lessened as we’re being pushed to disregard our own experiences, emotions and beliefs. The song poses the question of ‘how far are we willing to go before there’s no turning back?’”
The deluxe edition of Devoured By The Mouth Of Hell showcases Heriot’s signature blend of crushing heaviness and atmospheric post-metalcore melodies, highlighting the band’s evolving sound and thematic depth.
