Hollow Front have officially welcomed back Dakota Alvarez, with the guitarist and vocalist rejoining the Midwestern metalcore outfit more than three years after the band parted ways with him.
The group announced Alvarez’s return today while also revealing that their next chapter will begin this Friday, September 18, with the release of a brand-new single, “So Long To Yesterday.”
The track marks the first new Hollow Front song featuring Alvarez since his return and will arrive alongside an official music video.

We can finally say it: Dakota Alvarez has officially returned to Hollow Front.
This Friday, September 18, we begin our next chapter with ‘So Long to Yesterday,’ our first new song featuring Dakota since his return, and the first glimpse of everything we’ve been building together this past year.”
The band originally parted ways with Alvarez in 2023, making his return a significant development as Hollow Front move into what they are calling their next chapter.
Hollow Front added that more details about Alvarez’s return and the story behind it will be revealed throughout the week.
“So Long To Yesterday” is available to pre-save ahead of its September 18 release.
