
Mick Combs was Born just west of the Fingers Ranges, South Australia, Port Pirie. Mick grew up surrounded by lovers of music, especially mid-seventies hard rock acts such as Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath & Deep Purple. Mick eventually picked up the guitar in his early years, but threw himself into his guitar in his teenage years when received free guitar lessons from his high school (Ginger Samson). Mostly self-taught, especially in learning to solo, Mick spent years playing for many bands in many different styles from folk & jazz to Nu-metal & blues.
In 2023, Mick released his debut solo album, The Wizard. A conceptual album based on the 7 deadly sins and the journey of a wizard to defeat the demons that command each sin. Based on a concept originally penned by Mick’s wife Ivy Stone and produced and mastered by Don Douglass. 2023 also saw the release of 2 Mega Queen albums, Micks band he formed with his wife Ivy Stone, both recorded a decade early but remained unreleased.
