Autumn Kings have teamed up with former Killswitch Engage vocalist Howard Jones for their latest single, “yOunG BLoOds.”
The collaboration appears on the Canadian hard rock band’s upcoming album ‘Epiphanies’, which is scheduled for release on September 18th through Hopeless Records.
Discussing the song, Autumn Kings said it was inspired by the growing desire for change and standing up against injustice, while also praising the opportunity to collaborate with one of metal’s most recognizable voices.
“‘yOunG BLoOds’ speaks to the sentiment of revolution that is simmering across the world. It’s about being unafraid to call out injustice.
With all the turmoil taking hold in the world, it is important to refuse to remain silent and use our voices to stand up for what we believe in.
We had a blast making this song with the legendary Howard Jones, who we believe is one of the greatest heavy metal vocalists to ever live.
Musically, we leaned into a raw rap-meets metal-meets world music sound and then mix it up with a dramatic tempo change at the end of the song, something we haven’t done much of in the past.
