Howard Jones has officially begun work on his long-awaited debut solo album. Known for his time fronting Killswitch Engage, Blood Has Been Shed, and Light The Torch, Jones has entered the studio alongside a familiar production team to bring the project to life.
Handling production duties is Josh Gilbert (Spiritbox, etc.), while engineering is being overseen by Joseph McQueen (Bullet For My Valentine, As I Lay Dying). Initial sessions for the record actually began last December.
Jones shared the following update overnight via social media:
“Im back with the dream team of josh and Joseph, my solo album recording has officially begun. We have talked about this for a couple years, thrilled to finally get started. Lots to share with several projects over the next few months, thank you to everyone who has kept up with this crazy ride. Here we go!”
More details on this release are expected to follow in the months ahead.

Stop calling it his first solo album. He’s put out multiple albums with devil you know/light the torch. Those were his bands so he controlled the music hence solo albums.
Randy Parker solo just means it only uses his name and not a band or project name.
