Jack Osbourne is facing criticism after attending UFC Freedom 250 at the White House on June 14 and sharing photos from the event on social media.
The son of late Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne posted images alongside his wife, referring to the night as an “Ultimate Date Night” while highlighting the event. The post quickly drew backlash from fans, many of whom pointed to the political nature of the event and contrasted his attendance with the anti-war messaging often associated with his father’s music.
Some responses referenced Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs,” while others accused Osbourne of hypocrisy, citing his previous comments suggesting celebrities should avoid publicly sharing political opinions.
UFC Freedom 250 took place on the White House South Lawn as part of celebrations tied to the United States’ 250th anniversary and coincided with President Donald Trump’s 80th birthday. The event marked the first professional sporting event hosted on White House grounds and reportedly drew around 4,300 attendees, with additional spectators gathered nearby.
The event itself had already generated controversy ahead of time, including criticism over the use of federal property for a private, for-profit event. A legal attempt to block the event was ultimately denied by U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta, allowing it to proceed as planned.
