30 Seconds To Mars frontman and Academy Award-winning actor Jared Leto is once again facing public scrutiny following the release of a new BBC documentary examining allegations of sexual misconduct and abuse spanning more than a decade.
According to the documentary, ‘Jared Leto: Hollywood’s Dark Secret’, four women have come forward with allegations ranging from sexual misconduct to sexual assault and statutory rape, claiming the incidents occurred when they were minors. The allegations are said to date between 2002 and 2016.
The documentary also features accounts from four additional women who allege that Leto engaged in sexually inappropriate conversations with them over the phone when they were younger.
Further claims are presented by two former 30 Seconds To Mars employees, who reportedly expressed concerns about Leto’s alleged interactions with teenage girls in backstage environments and other settings connected to the band’s activities.
The latest accusations follow a similar exposé published by Air Mail in 2025, which included allegations from nine women who accused Leto of various forms of inappropriate sexual behavior. Leto denied those claims at the time.
In response to the allegations presented in the BBC documentary, Leto again issued a categorical denial. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter on July 29, he stated:
“I have never sexually assaulted anyone in my entire life. These claims are absolutely and categorically false.”
At the time of publication, no criminal charges related to the allegations discussed in the documentary have been announced.
The BBC documentary has reignited discussion surrounding the longstanding accusations against Leto, while the musician and actor continues to firmly deny any wrongdoing.
