The Amity Affliction are undergoing another lineup change, as drummer Joe Longobardi has revealed that he has officially stepped away from the Australian metalcore band after an eight-year run.
Longobardi shared the news on social media on June 24, expressing gratitude for his time with the group and offering well wishes to his former bandmates.
“After 8 years I have decided to leave The Amity Affliction. I feel extremely grateful and fortunate to have spent those years with the band. I wish Johnny, Dan and Joel along with the crew nothing but the very best moving forward.
It’s been an incredible journey. Thank you all for the love. See you out there.”
Longobardi joined The Amity Affliction in 2018, becoming a key part of the band’s rhythm section throughout numerous tours and releases over the years.
As of publication, The Amity Affliction themselves have yet to publicly comment on Longobardi’s departure or announce who will assume drumming duties moving forward.
The lineup change comes amid a period of transition for the band, with fans now awaiting further details regarding the group’s future plans.
